Ile ‘safari ya Lowassa’ imeibua mambo na mjadala mzito ndani na nje ya CCM.  Jambo la kujiuliza, je, safari hiyo ina urefu na vikwazo kiasi gani?

Lowassa alitangaza hivi karibuni kuanza rasmi kwa safari hiyo aliyoiita ya matumaini ya ndoto zake, ambayo anasema itatimiza ndoto za Watanzania za kupata elimu bure, majisafi na maendeleo ya uhakika.

Alitoa kauli hiyo katika ibada ya shukrani na kuupokea mwaka mpya, katika Kanisa la Kiinjili la Kilutheri Tanzania (KKKT),Usharika ya Monduli Mjini mkoani Arusha.

Bila ya kutaja safari hiyo ni ipi, Lowassa anawataka waliohudhuria ibada hiyo waungane na kaulimbiu yake, ‘Tulifurahi pamoja, tulihuzunika pamoja na tutashinda pamoja’.

Hafla hiyo ya kimkakati, ilihudhuriwa  na baadhi ya wabunge, wengi wakiwa wa CCM, wenyeviti wa mikoa kadhaa wa chama hicho, wakiongozwa na Mwenyekiti wa Wenyeviti wa CCM, viongozi wa jumuiya za chama na wengineo.

Licha ya kutoweka bayana aina ya safari anayoanza, Lowassa ni miongoni mwa wanaCCM wanaotajwa kuwa wanaowania urais, kumrithi Rais Jakaya Kikwete.

Dalili hizi za Lowassa kuutaka urais na kutafuta kabla ya kipenga kupulizwa, zimeishtua CCM na kumtahadharisha kuwa atapoteza sifa ya kupitishwa ifikapo 2015.

Safari tangu 1995

Tamaa ya Lowassa kuutaka urais haikuanza leo wala jana, ni ya tangu 1995 alipojitokeza kwa mara ya kwanza. Mwaka huo alikuwa miongoni mwa wagombea 17 wa CCM walioomba kuteuliwa kuipeperusha bendera ya chama hicho.

Majina hayo yalipaswa kujadiliwa na vikao vitatu vya CCM –Kamati Kuu, Halmashauri Kuu na Mkutano Mkuu. Kikao cha kwanza kilikua ni Kamati Kuu ambacho Mwenyekiti wake alikuwa Mwenyekiti wa CCM wakati huo, Ali Hassan Mwinyi lakini Baba wa Taifa, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere alikuwa bado na ushawishi na nguvu kubwa ndani ya chama hicho.

Nyerere bila kumung’unya maneno, alisema wazi akiwataja wazi Lowassa na Waziri Mkuu mstaafu, John Malecela kuwa hawakuwa wanafaa kugombea.

Nyerere alisema Malecela alikuwa na madhambi mengi na kwamba alikuwa ameyabainisha katika kitabu chake cha ‘Uongozi na hatima ya Tanzania’ ambacho pia alielezea udhaifu wa Horace Kolimba, aliyekuwa Katibu Mkuu wa CCM.

Akiwa kwenye mazishi ya Mchungaji Emanuel Manyaji (38) na mwanaye Shukuru Manyaji (13) ambao waliuawa na wafugaji kwa kuchinjwa wakiwa kanisani katika eneo la Hifadhi ya Embroy Murtangos wilayani Kiteto, Ndugai alimtaka Mkuu wa Wilaya hiyo, Martha Umbura kujiuzulu kutokana na madai kuwa hana sifa za kuendelea na wadhifa huo.

Hata hivyo, akizungumza na waandishi wa habari jana Dar es Salaam, Mkurugenzi wa HakiArdhi, Yefred Myenzi alisema, kauli hiyo ni mwendelezo wa malumbano ya wanasiasa yanayochochea migogoro kwa wananchi.

“Nimemsikia naibu spika akisema kuwa viongozi wa wilaya ndiyo wanahusika, je anao ushahidi? Kwa nini kauli kama hizi zitoke nje ya Wilaya ya Kiteto? Inaonyesha kuna wanasiasa wanaohamasisha wananchi wavamie ardhi iliyozuiwa kutumika.”

Kauli ya Ndugai imekuja wakati kukiwa na madai kuwa anamiliki mashamba katika eneo hilo la mgogoro.

Hata hivyo, akizungumza kwa simu,Ndugai alikanusha kuwa na shamba wilayani humo na kuendelea kusisitiza kuwa, lazima mkuu wa wilaya awajibike kwa kuwa wananchi wa jimbo la Kongwa wana haki ya kuishi mahali popote nchini.

“Kwani kuwa na shamba ni kosa?... kwa kifupi mimi sina shamba Kiteto wala Kongwa kwa sababu mimi silimi. Haya ni mauaji mabaya mno. Mimi kama naibu spika siyo msemaji sana, hata bungeni sichangii hoja, ila kwa hili sitaacha kusema,” alisema Ndugai na kuongeza:

“Mkuu wa Wilaya ni Mwenyekiti wa Kamati ya Ulinzi na Usalama ya Wilaya, mwananchi aamke salama na afanye kazi, sasa ikitokea mauaji, mauaji mauaji, unafikiri nini kifanyike? …

“Si Kiteto tu, wananchi wa Kongwa wako Mtwara, Dodoma,Kilimanjaro na popote pale Tanzania wanatafuta maisha,” alisisitiza.

Akifafanua chanzo cha mgogoro wa wakulima na wafugaji wilayani Kiteto, Myenzi alisema ni hatua ya halmashauri hiyo kutaka kuwahamisha wakulima katika eneo ambalo wamekuwa wakilitumia kwa kilimo huku ikidaiwa kuwa eneo hilo ni hifadhi ijulikanayo kama Emboroy Murtangos.

“Mgogoro huu ulifikishwa katika vyombo vya sheria ambapo wakulima walishinda… mwaka 2007 katika Mahakama Kuu Kitengo cha Ardhi. Hata hivyo halmashauri ya wilaya ilikata rufaa Mahakama ya Rufani na kushinda katika kesi namba 58 ya mwaka 2010. Hata hivyo wakulima wameomba mapitio ya kesi hiyo,” alisema Myenzi.

Licha ya mgogoro huo, Myenzi alitaja migogoro ya wakulima na wafugaji wilayani Mvomero na mgogoro wa mwekezaji na wananchi Mkoa wa Morogoro na mwingine wa mwekezaji na wananchi wilayani Mbarali Mkoa wa Mbeya.

E! News reports that director James Cameron is going to make the sequels back-to-back-to-back, and that the second Avatar movie will hit theaters in December 2016. A third movie will come in December 2017 and the fourth comes in December 2018.

Man creates religion about Kanye West.

Kanye West raps about being a god on record, and now the rapper may have a real religious following. 
One man has created a website declaring a new "religion" dedicated to the rapper and named after his latest record.  Called "Yeezianity," the church of Yeezus declares that they are "an anonymous group who believes that the one who calls himself Yeezus is a divine being." 
"Yeezianity" has its own "Golden Rule" -- "Create for others what you would have created for yourself."  The website also includes five basic principles of the movement called the "Five Pillars." 

Meantime, the creator of "Yeezianity" tells "Noisey" that "Yeezianity" is not an actual organized religion.  He adds that he created the movement after coming up with the idea one month ago.  "Yeezianitys" creator also says that his ultimate goal is to "create some controversy."

So what’s the deal with the snippet we heard of “Same Girl”?

Maafisa katika Vatican makao makuu ya kanisa katoliki, wanatarajariwa kuhojiwa na maafisa wa Umoja wa Mataifa kuhusu dhuluma za kingono ambazo makasisi wa kanisa hilo waliwatendea maelfu ya watoto.

Maafisa hao walikataa ombi la awali ambapo Umoja wa Mataifa ulikuwa unataka taarifa za kina kuhusu dhuluma za kingono wakisema kuwa visa hivyo vinapaswa kushughulikiwa na idara ya mahakama katika mataifa ambako visa hivyo vilitokea.

Papa Francis amesema kuwa ni jambo muhimu kukabiliana na visa kama hivyo ili kanisa liweze kupata sifa yake nzuri.
Kanisa hilo limekosolewa kwa kukosa kuchukua hatua za kutosha kuhusiana na madai ya dhuluma za kingono kanisani.
Mwezi jana, Papa Francis alitangaza kubuni kamati ya kukabiliana na visa vya dhuluma za kingono dhidi ya watoto kanisani pamoja na kutoa ushauri nasaha kwa waathiriwa.

KAGAME MAMBO MAGUMU:Chama cha aliekua waziri mkuu wa Rwanda chaungana FDLR

 

Waziri Mkuu wa zamani nchini Rwanda Faustin Twagiramungu aishiye uhamishoni amesema chama chake cha Rwanda Dream Initiative kimeungana na waasi wa Kihutu wa FDLR walioko nchini Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Congo. Twagiramungu ameshirikiana pia na chama cha PS Imberakuri cha Bwana Bernard Ntaganda aliye kifungoni kwa tuhuma za kujenga chuki na utengano nchini rwanda.

Lengo la muungano huo kwa mujibu wa Twagiramungu ni kuruhusu wakimbizi wote wa Rwanda kurudi nyumbani pamoja na vyama vingine vya upinzani viliyoko uhamishoni ili kuiomba Jumuiya ya kimataifa ishinikize serikali ya rais Paul Kagame kuandaa mazungumzo ya kitaifa na wapinzani wake.
“Sasa ni wakati wa kukomesha propaganda ya Kigali hususan ya Kagame, ambae anatumia mauwaji ya kimbari kwa kumnyooshea kila mtu eti amefanya mauwaji hayo.

Taarifa hii ya jeshi la Polisi imekuja kukanusha ripoti iliochapishwa kwenye vyombo vya habari nchini humo kwamba polisi imewatia nguvuni watu 4 wanaoshukiwa kuhusika na kifo cha Patrick Karegeya nchini Afrika Kusini.
Mwili wa Karegeya ulikutwa ndani ya chumba kimoja cha Hoteli jijini Johanesbourg huku kukiwa na ishara ya kuuawa kwa kunyongwa.

Polisi watuhumiwa kuvusha wahamiaji haramu

Dar es Salaam: Polisi katika Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa Dar es Salaam, wanatajwa kuwa wahusika wakuu wa kusaidia wahamiaji haramu kuingia nchini, kinyume cha sheria.

Septemba mwaka jana, mfanyakazi wa Wakala wa Ndege za Serikali, Dominic Bomani alimwambia Waziri wa Uchukuzi, Dk Harrison Mwakyembe alipotembelea uwanjani hapo kuwa wapo wahamiaji haramu ambao wamepewa nafasi nyeti za ajira katika uwanja huo. Dk Mwakyembe aliahidi kufuatilia suala hilo.

Uchunguzi wa Mwananchi umebaini kuwa polisi katika baadhi ya viwanja vya ndege wamejenga mtandao na watumishi wengine, wakiwamo wa Idara ya Uhamiaji ambao huwawezesha raia wa kigeni hasa kutoka nchi za Ethiopia, Somalia na Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasi ya Kongo (DRC), kuingia nchini bila ya kuwa na nyaraka zinazokubalika kisheria.

Tukio la karibuni zaidi ni lile la kuingizwa nchini kwa raia watatu wa Pakistani ambao licha ya kukamatwa katika Uwanja wa Ndege wa zamani (Terminal – I) kutokana na kutokuwa na hati za kusafiria, wala nyaraka zozote zinazowaruhusu kuingia nchini, baadaye waliachiwa na kuingia nchini katika mazingira ya kutatanisha.

Chanzo chetu uwanjani hapo kilisema: “Hawakuja na hati za kusafiria wala nyaraka zozote na waliachiwa huru katika mazingira ya kutatanisha.”

Chanzo hicho kiliwataja Wapakistani hao kuwa ni Hussein Amir, Ahmad Tahmir na Shakeel Muhamadadi ambao walifika nchini, Oktoba Mosi, 2013 saa kumi na moja jioni kwa ndege ndogo ya kukodi ambayo ilikuwa ikitokea Zanzibar.

Mapema baada ya kuwasili kwao, wageni hao walipokewa na Dereva Teksi, Shami Maringo ambaye alikiri kwamba aliagizwa kuwapokea, lakini kabla ya kuanza safari waliomba kwenda msikitini kuswali kwa sababu ilikuwa tayari ni saa 12:00 jioni.

Maringo alisema aliwapokea raia hao watatu baada ya kupewa majina yao na Mtanzania mwenye asili ya Asia ambaye alimwambia baada ya kuwapokea awapeleke Kariakoo.

“Nilipewa majina matatu kwenye karatasi na mhindi mmoja, nikaambiwa hao watu watafika saa 10 jioni. Walipofika nikawatambua lakini tulikamatwa,” alisema Maringo.

Maringo pia alikamatwa na kuambiwa kuwa ataachiwa baada ya mtu aliyemwagiza kuwapokea raia hao atakapofika.

Alisema siku ya pili asubuhi, mtu huyo ambaye hata hivyo, alisema hamfahamu kwa jina, alifika polisi na Maringo pamoja na raia hao waliachiwa huru. Maringo anasema hakuweza tena kuwapeleka kwa sababu gari lake lilipata pancha.

“We’re both from the Caribbean, so I always thought we had this common ground and this song is pretty reggae, but it also has that rock attitude that I think Rihanna has, so that’s why I thought she was the natural choice for collaboration on this record, but I also thought it was a little bit of a challenge to get her to record this track because she’s so busy,” Shakira admits. ”I honestly thought it’d never happen, but I said, ‘I’m going to send it to her and see what happens.’ And she heard the record and she loved it and she said she was on board and I was the happiest girl alive!”
The Voice coach explains the hit new track “is about that guy that gets under your skin that you can’t leave alone and I think that every woman has been through that …we can relate … but this song is not exactly a reflection of my life right now.”
In fact, it’s the opposite of Shakira’s current life right now with boyfriend Gerard Piqué, with whom she has a baby boy, Milan.
“I’m in a very good place in my life right now personally and emotionally,” She gushes. “I have a very good relationship with Gerard and now with my son, so I’m going through a completely different experience right now in relation to the song.”
When it comes to Gerard, she goes on to gush about his fit physique. ”He’s got this body, he looks like an avatar, he’s so tall! In the morning when I’m in bed and I see him get up from bed and he’s so long he looks like an avatar in my room. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m doing good!’”
Shakira, who is working on finalizing her album and anticipating a March release, is also set to be a judge again on the upcoming season of NBC’s The Voice and this time around she’s bringing on Miranda Lambert as a mentor.
So how does Blake Shelton feel about Shakira working with his wife?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to bring some rock n roll to the halftime show at the Super Bowl in New Jersey next month. 
The NFL released a statement confirming that the Grammy-winning group will be joining headliner Bruno Mars on stage during Mars much-anticipated performance.  The news was first announced during the Saturday Fox broadcast of the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks game. 
According to "The Hollywood Reporter," the Chili Peppers were already scheduled to be in the area, performing at a pre-Super Bowl show at the Barclays Center the night before the game.  It has yet to revealed whether or not the group will play its own songs, or back Bruno for his set. 
The Super Bowl is set to air on February 2nd on Fox.

South Africa and Mozambique will kick-off the 2014 African Nations Championship when they clash in the Group A opener at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 18h00 CAT.

The host nation’s team has not had ideal preparation according to coach Gordon Igesund, who has had to wrangle over the availability of players from domestic clubs and deal with the injury-enforced withdrawal of first-choice left-back Tsepo Masilela.

In addition, Bafana were unable to organise a friendly/practice match against a fellow CHAN team early in the week, though at the time of writing they were planning a game against a local side in order to get some much-needed playing time under their belts.

The good news for Igesund is that South Africa have a 100 percent record against Mozambique in official international matches, having won all four of the matches in which the teams have crossed swords.

While the competition rules stipulate that teams may only choose players who are based domestically, this match will be relatively close to being a ‘full’ international, as both sides pick predominantly from their local leagues anyway.

Mambas coach Joao Chissano has been able to select a fairly experienced team that is not far off being full strength. It includes the likes of experienced defender Dario Khan as well as Almiro Lobo, who will be well aware of conditions in South Africa having played for Bidvest Wits and Platinum Stars in the PSL.

The Mozambicans have also been able to get in a couple of friendly matches in Johannesburg ahead of flying down to Cape Town for the opening match, so they could well be sharper and better drilled than their hosts.

Yet, with home support and an ability to call upon hugely experienced players such as Itumeleng Khune, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Bernard Parker – who all have more than 60 caps under their belt – Bafana Bafana will be the favourites to pick up the three points.

And given that the hosts must face ‘unknown’ quantities in Mali and Nigeria – teams who they have traditionally struggled against – it is vital for Igesund and his charges that they come out on top on Saturday in this key opening match.

Jermain Defoe Officially Completes Transfer to Toronto FC from Tottenham

Toronto FC have completed a huge move to bring Tottenham forward Jermain Defoe to Major League Soccer in a deal that takes effect on Feb. 28.

The defender is contracted to Ajax Cape Town but the University of Pretoria are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign the player in the January transfer window. Magqwaka could well be featuring regularly in the PSL within the next few months.

Jody February/Dumisani Msibi – The two goalkeepers who did duty for Amajita in the tournament and didn’t concede a goal between them. The former had most of the playing time but was sent off in the semifinal against Zimbabwe, while the latter came on as a sub and proceeded to make several fine stops to help his team to the final.

CAF Awards: Yaya runaway winner

Yaya Toure was a runaway winner of the 2013 CAF Player of the Year Award, according to a detailed result released by CAF.

The 31-year-old Ivorian powerhouse won his third straight award on Thursday after he polled a total of 373 points.

Mikel Obi was second on 265 points with Drogba third with 236 points.

Only coaches of Nigeria, Sudan, Zambia and Libya voted Mikel as their best player of the past year.

This was against the 28 national team coaches who voted Yaya as their best player.

Two players tied in fourth place – Jonathan Pitriopa of Burkina Faso and Pierre Aubameyang – after they totalled 202 points each.
