Three players to watch:
Siyanda Ngubo – ana mkataba na Orlando Pirates, Ngubo ndiyeContracted to Orlando Pirates, Ngubo was Amajita’s leading scorer at the 2013 COSAFA U-20 tournament with three goals. The youngster will be hoping to make the step up to the U-23s and the Buccaneers’ first team in the not-too-distant future, and his performances will have done his ambitions no harm whatsoever.
Ayabulela Magqwaka – Amajita’s captain and top performer at the COSAFA U-20 tournament. The defender is contracted to Ajax Cape Town but the University of Pretoria are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign the player in the January transfer window. Magqwaka could well be featuring regularly in the PSL within the next few months.
Jody February/Dumisani Msibi – The two goalkeepers who did duty for Amajita in the tournament and didn’t concede a goal between them. The former had most of the playing time but was sent off in the semifinal against Zimbabwe, while the latter came on as a sub and proceeded to make several fine stops to help his team to the final.
